ntly, we shared a few moments with Ginger Varner—a member from Newark’s Park National Bank—a bank whose values root deep in dependability and love for their communities, including ours!
With banking centers in Ohio, Kentucky, South and North Carolina, Park National Bank originated in Newark, Ohio in 1908. Its success is due to the hard work of its dedicated staff and presidents, including Everett D. Reese, who continued serving at Park for nearly 40 years after his presidency. Past President John W. Alford was a cashier during the Great Depression and a WWII navy veteran. He became president of Park in 1956, bringing with him a passion for serving his community. His passion became a part of Park’s core values and culture which remains today. It is clear to see Park’s drive to serve through its continual involvement in supporting education, housing, youth, and businesses. Due to Park’s amazing employees who show up each day to serve their customers, they were named a 2023 Best Workplace in Ohio by Ohio Business Magazine.
Ginger Varner, a mortgage lender for Park (NMLS# 684031), has worked with many clients in our area, including businesses in the BIA! She has over 27 years of experience in banking, and she’s learned the ins and outs of the industry in her time at Park. Currently, she is a home lender who specializes in lot loans, first-time homebuyer loans and those interested in government loan programs. Just like Park, Ginger also has the same motives for her work—to serve and connect!
